The team of the Association IndiJanez has launched a new activity this week. MC Club Pekarna is now enhanced by a so-called treasure hunt, which offers visitors mental and practical tasks through which they explore the Club's premises and their story - as well as the story of the complex Pekarna.

The scenario, which can be described as a kind of hybrid between the popular escape room concept and a treasure hunt, has been called "History of the Bakery" by the team members. It presents visitors in an interactive way with individual chapters of this history, from its origins and original purpose to its transformation into the cultural centre as we know it today. In doing so, it makes extensive use of the premises themselves: participants must explore the known and lesser-known corners of the club in order to progress through the game and gather all the necessary solutions, and the authors of the project have tried to use as much as possible existing equipment and infrastructure as props, from the walls to the furniture to the wooden beams. They also made use of the optical illusions exhibition that recently opened.

"The point is that visitors get to know the real Bakery, and this kind of ingenuity is definitely part of its spirit," says Katja Zgoznik, one of the artists. "At the same time, the activity doesn't feel forced or inappropriate for the space, because it was made just for it."

The aim of the project is to offer a new activity that has never been done before in this area, as well as alternative leisure activities, especially for young people. The team of the association IndiJanez at the same time, the team is looking ahead to the autumn, when the catering and music activities are expected to be in a precarious situation, at least temporarily; if security measures are flexible enough, they hope to be able to welcome visitors then too. It also serves as a kind of commemoration, as it takes place just a few weeks before the second part of the Bakery's anniversary celebrations at the beginning of September.

Since its conception, the project has been refined by test groups and is now open to the general public. The team IndiJanezwill be inviting contributions until 10 September, and the first reactions have been positive. New scenarios are also planned.
